Today the steelhead trout were releases into the Toutle River. Here’s one of our volunteers braving the thick mud getting the few stragglers out of the pond and into the river.

On March 10th, The WDFW brought 20,773 steelhead trout in 3 tanker trucks to the pond. The trout were rather disoriented after the 2 hrs drive, but hopefully they will recover and grow fast. The last picture shows the feeder all setup and filled with tasty fish food (or so I assume).
